WELCOME FROM THE METAL WORKING SKILLS CONSORTIUM
The following apprenticeship program includes Tool and Die, Sheet Metal Worker, Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Technician and Machinist. For a complete curriculum please contact the office at 717-843-3891.
About the consortium: We were formed in spring of 2005 with the ambitious agenda of offering our first courses in fall of 2006. Today, the group continues to grow and offer a regional approach to manufacturing academic education. In the years ahead, we will continue to offer the highest level of education for apprentices and others in need of quality education.
How you can help: Committee members are needed to assist with curriculum development, recruitment, and selection of instructors. Our consortium actively participates in offering these courses and assuring their quality
What can the consortia do to assist your company? The consortium members are experienced trainers and manufacturing professionals. Currently, the group meets weekly to assist others in developing a curriculum to fit the individual company needs. Apprenticeship candidates and his /her transcript can be reviewed upon request. The purpose of the review is correct placement into the overall curricula and is voluntary.
Placement into the Curriculum: The company is responsible for student placement into the curriculum. Placement exams and candidate review are available if desired.
