NIST CSF: Covering General Cyber Framework

An informative session for executives and others
concerning your cyber compliance!

Presented by
Jason McNew, of Stronghold Cyber Security

NIST 800-171 has 110 controls spread over 14 'families.'

This session will review the different 'families' involved with DoD-mandated cyber security for DoD contractors and suppliers. NIST 800-171 was designed to protect CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) ,and are mandatory compliance measures for individuals tasked with doing business with the Department of Defense (DoD).

NIST CSF is a more general purpose, well-rounded framework and better suited to company executives. It serves as a cyclical framework that revolves around managing risk. NIST CSF has five functions: Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover. These parameters cover 23 high level families over 108 controls.
