If this describes your background and you’re looking for a way to make a large-scale impact on manufacturing apprenticeship initiatives, then the Manufacturers’ Association is looking for you!

The Manufacturers’ Association is a vibrant member-driven non-profit organization whose goal is to drive growth for manufacturing enterprises in south central Pennsylvania. We are looking for a passionate candidate with a proven track record of managing diverse training portfolios, creating training strategies and curriculum based on needs assessment, content delivery, and evaluating ROI on current and future programs.

Your future:
Our members have identified training as the most valuable service we provide, and apprenticeships are the solution. This position will have responsibility for the strategic and tactical direction of all aspects of the apprenticeship program, including curriculum, company registration and championing apprenticeships with membership.

Your success in this role will be based on your past experience with apprenticeship programs, training and instructional curriculum and include the following skill sets:

Ability to engage with customers and manufacturers Organizational abilities
Innovative ideas Curriculum development Community relationships and public speaking Instruction and Presentation Skills Job Description.

Works with manufacturing firms to implement apprenticeship programs and recruits firms to register for the Association's training courses. Works with companies to assess current and future apprentice occupations; implements new courses, curriculum and programs that meet employer needs. Manages careful documentation of programs, processes and training partner involvement. Leads and facilitates apprenticeship employer consortia to determine training needs for technical and professional development training programs, activities and training center equipment. Coordinates marketing and collateral development with the Association team, highlighting the apprenticeship model for companies, students, schools and the community. Investigate new course offerings and identify training instructors. Maintains relationships with training providers and course instructors to support training programs. Manages and provides instruction for our high school student pre-apprenticeship program. Develops and manages budgets, forecasts and program strategy. Community and student engagement.

Serve on community committees, participate in educational programs and develop partnerships to support youth career programs that increases participation in apprenticeships and manufacturing. Advocate for apprenticeships and Association benefits to support membership recruitment and engagement through public speaking and other key Association events and services.

Essential education and experience includes:
Post-secondary education or Journey-person Credential
Developing, organizing and administering training
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Presentation skills

Preferred experience includes:
Experience in the manufacturing industry
Working knowledge of apprenticeship programs and requirements
Familiar with federal RAPIDS data reporting and state regulations
This position is critical to the association's Apprenticeship Program success - for the right candidate will consider both full time to part time opportunities.

Local travel is required.

Salary is commiserate with experience and background.
