Incoming President Travis Gentzler Recognizes Outgoing Board President Tom Baughman at Association’s Recent 2018 Annual Event
(York, Pa.) – Thomas Baughman, president of New Concept Technology of Emigsville, PA, was recently honored at the Association’s April 25 Annual Event for his recent two years heading the Association as its President of the Board of Directors, and for his many years of service to the regional trade association.
Having served in its board leadership role from May 2016 until May 2018, Baughman led many initiatives of the organization during a period that saw a substantial growth in the number and strength of members, an increased variety of professional-quality technical and skill training courses offered to local businesses, and enhanced internal business controls which have led to increased financial and operational efficiencies for the nearly 400 member-company trade association, headquartered in York.
Recognizing and honoring Baughman for his service was incoming Board President Travis Gentzler, president of Weldon Solutions – who begins his new leadership role with the association’s upcoming board meeting on May 23.
In appreciation of his years of service on the Board and as Board president, Gentzler presented Baughman with a ceremonial gavel with plaque which noted his service.
In looking forward to his new role as board president, Gentzler noted, “During my term ahead, my goal as President is to have the Association become the ‘preferred provider’ in supporting our important manufacturing economy here in southcentral Pennsylvania – through training, apprentice programs, career outreach to our local schools, and supporting a variety of educational and informative events – all designed for our communities and our members to grow in their future success.”
