York, Pa. – Sam Miller of York, PA president of Wolfgang Confectioners, and Jonathan Crothers of Lancaster, PA, operations improvement coordinator for Stoner Inc of Quarryville, PA, were recently named to the Board of Directors of The Manufacturers’ Association ─ a regional trade association which supports manufacturing, logistics and production in the ten counties of southcentral Pennsylvania.
Miller, a graduate of Dickinson College, worked previously for Glatfelter Paper and also Anstadt Communications in Emigsville, before joining Wolfgang Candy Company (now Wolfgang Confectioners) as COO in early 2016. Since his arrival at Wolfgang, the company has refocused its business as a co-manufacturer of confections and today operates as a business-to-business operation. Today, Mr. Miller serves as president as well as minority owner.
Crothers is a 12-year employee of Stoner, a leading producer of products used in the household, automotive and thermoforming industries.
He served as research and development scientist for 8 years, before assuming his current role as operations improvement coordinator in 2015. In his present role, he is responsible for efficiency improvement and is a member of the strategy deployment team, among other responsibilities.
Crothers holds various Six Sigma and Lean certifications, and is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
Both gentlemen recently began undertaking their Board roles with The Manufacturers’ Association.
