The goal of this course on day course is to teach you how to build weldment parts using SolidWorks mechanical design automation software.

The focus of this course is on the fundamental skills and concepts central to successfully build weldment parts.

  • Structural Members
  • Adding Plates
  • Weld Beads
  • Gussets and End Caps
  • Managing the Cut List
  • CREATE A STRUCTURE-Take simple sketches and apply a structural member to create a structure
  • CUSTOMIZE PROFILES-You are not limited to the provided profiles inside SOLIDWORKS, create your own and save them for later
  • 3D SKETCHING-Learn the basics of 3D sketching to make your structural design quicker
  • WORK WITH BENT STRUCTURAL MEMBERS-create straight & bent structural members
